Singing the song of youth in the field (first-line investigation)
Talent is the key to rural revitalization. The General Secretary of the Supreme Leader stressed that it is necessary to introduce a group of talents, orderly guide college graduates to their hometowns, capable people to return to their hometowns, migrant workers to their hometowns, and entrepreneurs to their hometowns, and help them solve their worries, so that they can stay and start businesses.
In recent years, on the land of Qilu, many young people have voluntarily returned to the countryside from cities, honed their skills in the fields, and worked hard to become an important force for rural revitalization. Why do these college graduates, capable people, migrant workers and entrepreneurs make such choices? What kind of "two-way trip" is this? Our reporter approached four of them and listened to the songs of youth they sang in the vast fields.

Step on the field and smell the wheat.
Female college students born in 1980s become "new farmers"
College students, come back to farm? In March 2008, with the diploma of China Agricultural University, 25-year-old Xue Lina dragged her boyfriend Li Ning, gave up her job in the city and returned to Mazhuang Town, Daiyue District, Tai ‘an City. Some fellow villagers don’t understand that this female doll has been studying hard for more than ten years. She could have stayed in the city, but why did she come back?
This kind of discussion has put a lot of pressure on Xue Lina, but with her father’s support, she is relieved. Father Xue Chuanqian is the "old agricultural machinery" in the town, and he has been crawling in the fields all his life. It was her father’s invitation that Xue Lina and her boyfriend Li Ning put down their ideological burdens and started the journey of "new farmers".
The hardest part is actually in the beginning At that time, Xue Chuanqian took the lead in setting up YueYang Crop Professional Cooperative in the whole region. At first, the villagers did not cooperate. Xue Lina and Li Ning, from morning till night, go into villages and households to do ideological work for villagers.
— — "Uncle, join our cooperative!"
— — "What club?"
— — "Transfer the land to us, 200 yuan per share, and the transfer fee is 600 yuan per mu."
The land circulation is quite new, and the villagers are not used to it for a while. After squabbling with the villagers and communicating with the cadres in the town, the cooperative finally transferred 13.4 mu of land, obtained a new business entity loan of 300,000 yuan, and started farming on a large scale.
When to sow corn and wheat, how to scientifically apply fertilizer and pesticide, and what kind of growth habits crops have … … Father, an old farmer, teaches by example one by one.
In the wind and rain, Xue Lina turned black several times and got cocoons on her hands. "The hardest thing is not the work in the field." Xue Lina still remembers. In June 2017, a torrential rain hit, and the crops fell to the ground, causing huge losses.
This blow made Xue Lina retreat in her heart. However, at the end of 2014, her father died of illness, and the old man’s exhortation to "run the cooperative well" has been lingering in her ear. Xue Lina and Li Ning encouraged each other, gritted their teeth and stamped their feet, and decided to go on working.
In the face of setbacks, the cooperative’s development ideas become clearer: cooperate with seven villages, breed improved varieties in the whole village, recycle improved varieties in a unified way, and increase the income of single wheat by more than 300 yuan in one season; It has invested more than 4 million yuan to purchase corn harvesters, seeders, unmanned plant protection machines and other equipment, and provided local farmers with planting, spraying and harvesting services at a price lower than 40% of the market.
There are setbacks and gains.
828.7 kilograms! On June 12, 2019, in their own wheat high-yield research field, when the yield measurement experts shouted this number, Xue Lina and Li Ning cried with joy. This figure set a record for winter wheat yield per mu since Tai ‘an recorded, and set a new national record for tackling key problems of high yield in that year. In the same year, the trial yield of corn in the high-yield research field reached 911 kg per mu, which was also the highest in Tai ‘an.
"Lina cultivates the land and is proud!" The fellow villagers around him gave a thumbs-up sign. State-level demonstration society of farmers’ cooperatives, the first batch of national demonstration organizations for specialized prevention and control of crop diseases and insect pests, and national advanced individual in grain production & HELIP; … Xue Lina has won many honors.
Cooperatives grow at jointing stage! The number of members has grown from 22 to 268; Land transfer increased from the original 13.4 mu to 1300 mu; The promotion of breeding has been expanded from 800 mu to 15,000 mu; Agricultural socialization service covers 36 villages from the original 5 villages; The introduction and promotion of new crop varieties has grown from the original 20 to more than 300.
It has been 15 years since I left the school and entered the field. Xue Lina said: "Only when you step on the field and smell the wheat, will your heart be practical!"
Register brands and open up new markets.
34-year-old female village official with a master’s degree leads villagers to get rich.
Graduated from a master’s degree and went to the village as the secretary of the village party branch? Guo Jing, 34, passed the selection in May 2020 and came to Liujiazhuang Village, Xiaozhi Town, Pingyin County, Jinan City, only two or three kilometers away from her birthplace, as the secretary of the village party branch. Previously, she had been the Commissioner for Rural Revitalization for one year.
I used to work as a counselor in a private university in the city, but the new choice is hard for my lover Song Yilong to accept.
"If you want to stay in the village, what about our home?" One day in October 2020, Song Yilong’s voice on the other end of the phone was eight degrees higher. The two originally discussed that Guo Jinggan, the rural revitalization Commissioner, would take his daughter back to the city after three years. Who would have thought that her choice was still the countryside. In three years, Guo Jing proved that his choice was correct with his actions.
"When a young girl is a secretary, our village is still hopeless!" Some villagers are worried.
Liujiazhuang Village ranks second from the bottom in the assessment of 64 villages in the town, which is a famous "mess". The first time I walked into the village Committee office, three bungalows, and the doors were rusty … … Guo Jing’s heart is half cold.
Guo Jing decided to play the emotional card first, give full play to the advantages of having studied aerobics, and organize rural women to dance square dance. After dancing for three days in a row, I became close to my aunt in the village, but there were also voices of dissatisfaction.
I have to work when I am scolded, and Guo Jing cheers myself up. Three axes in a row, gradually opening up the situation.
The first axe, sweeping the floor. Knowing that the village was engaged in the renovation of human settlements and the assessment was at the bottom, Guo Jing was in a bad mood, and immediately grabbed a broom shovel and took the lead in cleaning the village roads. For a week in a row, the cleaning team continued to grow, and the village appearance became clean and tidy. The villager said, this girl is very practical!
The second axe is to build roads. There is a production road in the village, which was hit by heavy rain and seriously collapsed, and the autumn harvest was affected. Just in time for the renovation of the county road, Guo Jing repeatedly ran the construction team. Unable to hold Guo Jing’s soft grinding and hard foam, the excavator of the construction team came in, paving the stone slag and leveling more than 2000 meters for free. Everyone said that this secretary is really capable!
The third axe, steamed buns. Rural work is the key to increasing farmers’ income. Guo Jing raised 200,000 yuan to build a steamed bun house, registered a brand, and produced large steamed buns with ground flour. The steamed buns in the mountains are sold to many places, and 15 left-behind women in the village have a sideline job at their doorstep, which has increased their income.
"Things are good, but they have to sell well." Guo Jing, together with energetic village cadres, designed a small program of "filial piety and small farmers" to open up channels for high-quality agricultural products and sell them to 45 communities and more than 500 supermarkets in Jinan. Under the operation of Guo Jing, three brands were registered, and e-commerce live broadcast was also started. The road to mountain products in Liujiazhuang Village became wider and wider. Guo Jing took Song Yilong to the village for a walk, and the villagers praised her in a word, and Song Yilong’s tight brow stretched out.
Through hard work, the collective income of the village has changed from several hundred thousand yuan in debt to more than two million yuan in fixed assets, and the villagers’ spirit is getting better and better. As night fell, Guo Jing and the villagers danced the square dance happily, enjoying themselves and laughing.
Singing in the countryside and serving the villagers
Peasant workers come from troupe heads to save local operas.
A farewell dinner 19 years ago is still fresh in Han Ke’s memory. In 2004, in Xiachen Village, xinzhuang town, Laicheng District, Laiwu City, members of Panlong Bangzi Troupe gathered together and drank one glass after another. The 16-year-old Han Ke was so excited that he stood up and touched a glass of wine: "I’ll be the head of the team and play it!"
Panlong Bangzi is a traditional opera with a history of nearly 300 years. It has a complete range of performances, such as playing Hu, Pipa, Sheng and Erhu, and its singing is euphemistic, which is popular in the local and surrounding areas.
Han Ke wants to be the head of the team, and the first one to stand up against it is his mother. Grandpa, father and uncle passed away very early. Han Ke, who dropped out of junior high school, went to work in the city and slowly took root, becoming the pillar of the family. "Don’t make money well, run back to sing in an opera? What do you think? " Mother said.
At that time, the troupe was "poor and white": no funds, no clothes and no equipment. Hanke rode a bicycle, traveled more than 80 miles back and forth, and went into town to work on the construction site to subsidize the troupe. Sleeping on the floor, eating cold meals, people around you don’t understand.
Actors quit one after another, and there are only a handful of performance opportunities. Each performer only earns 5 yuan … … The troupe is unsustainable, and Han Ke still insists.
Why insist? Han Ke talked about an experience: he once performed in a village, caught up with heavy rain, and the villagers watched in the rain. The actors on the stage were infected by enthusiasm and performed in the rain. After the end, the villagers took the initiative to help clean up the props, holding the actors’ hands and hoping that the troupe would come again. The needs of the villagers are the reason why the troupe strives to persist.
The turning point of the troupe’s survival stems from a bold decision of Hanke. In 2007, Han Ke decided to make a film and television drama. A group of people didn’t graduate from junior high school, holding hoes and swinging hammers for a long time, and actually want to make a TV series?
Hank and the members made up their minds. Starting from the startup and shutdown, there are also shooting, editing and composing … … Everything starts from scratch. The money is not enough, so I’ll chip in 50 and 100 for the old artists in the troupe. In the end, in four months, a household DV was filmed, with more than a dozen peasant actors participating, and thousands of dollars were invested. Based on Hanke and the troupe, a drama and TV series was released.
Panlong Bangzi was put on the screen, and one of the clips was circulated on the Internet, with more than 300,000 hits. Relevant departments pay attention to support and the media is deeply focused. After tasting the sweetness, Han Ke made persistent efforts. From the very beginning of audio-visual publishing to selling dramas online, "a drama can sell for 100,000 yuan or even several hundred thousand yuan online", the hematopoietic function of the troupe has been enhanced, and the elements of Panlong Bangzi have been integrated into film and television works, and a new path has been found by inheriting the art of Panlong Bangzi.
A grass-roots team is getting louder and louder. Han Ke led the troupe to set up a film and television company, and produced many film and television works, such as the TV series "Erni’s Mountain Village Dream", the cinema film "I am not a poor household" and the microfilm "The Moon in the 15th Five-Year Plan". Among them, Panlong Bangzi’s works went abroad and were shortlisted for film festivals or screenings in seven countries and regions, including Chile, the Netherlands and Spain. Their works have successively won the honors of "Excellent Opera Film" of China Film Association and "Best Feature Film" of the main unit of beautiful countryside International Microfilm Art Festival.
From migrant workers to the head of the troupe, from small stage to big screen, from folk drama to cultural industry, Han Ke led the troupe out of a road.
An inconspicuous farmhouse in Xinzhuang Street, Gangcheng District, Jinan City is the location of the troupe. Walk in and walk around, and you will find a recording studio, editing room, dressing room and small stage. Practising actors, wearing bright costumes, walked onto the stage, gestures, vivid, singing tactfully, lingering sound.
"It is our glory to take root in the countryside, sing songs in the countryside and serve the elders in our hometown!" Hanke looked at the stage and said affectionately.
Be grateful and feed back your hometown.
Returning entrepreneurs help rural revitalization
Pick up the water bottle, go out and turn left, walk for ten minutes, come to the drinking station in the village, put the bucket under the tap of the water dispenser, brush the card, and after five minutes, the bucket is full and then take it home — — Zhou Qingyou, secretary of the Party branch of Hujia Village, Qudi Street, Jiyang District, Jinan City, said that this road of drawing water has taken more than 170 households and more than 600 people in the village for 10 years.
How long can a bucket of water last? "Three days", Secretary Zhou grinned and said, "I used to drink well water directly, but now I can drink pure water at my door, thanks to Xiao Dao." While speaking, he arched his hands and looked sincere.
Xiao Dao, 41, went out of Hujia Village through a cold window and started his business from scratch after finishing college. Now he is the chairman of two companies.
Xiao Dao began to work part-time when he was in college. Post advertisements, sell envelopes, and be a tutor, which one earns money. Out of the university gate, Xiao Dao found a job, resigned four years later, founded a heating enterprise, got up early and got the first bucket of gold.
In 2013, Xiao Dao, who had made small achievements, made a choice that ordinary people could not understand: he returned to the "wheat field" and registered and established Shandongbeicheng Environmental Technology Co., Ltd.
"Wheat Land" is the Beicheng Industrial Park in Qudi Street, Jiyang, Xiaodao’s hometown, and Beicheng Environment is the first enterprise to settle in. Why did you go back to the countryside when you were doing well in the city? "My hometown is the most familiar and unforgettable, and I hope to develop with my hometown." Xiao Dao speaks quickly.
Two years later, Xiao Dao went to Hujiacun as the deputy secretary of the village party branch. Secretary Xiao lived up to expectations, dared to think and do it, and won praises from villagers for three things in succession.
The first thing is to build roads. The main road in the village is rainy and muddy, so vehicles can’t get in. How can we develop if the road is not smooth? Xiao Dao and the cadres of the two village committees discussed that roads must be built and everyone should raise money together. To get money from their pockets, the villagers watched at first. Xiao Dao took the lead in donating 50 thousand yuan, two bulldozers came, and firecrackers sounded at the groundbreaking ceremony. Seeing that Xiaodao is really moving, the villagers have pooled their money. The two roads have invested more than 500,000 yuan, and it will be hardened and opened to traffic in three months.
The second thing is to drink water. There are many non-point source pollution in rural areas, and well water is mostly surface water, so drinking directly is not good for your health. Xiaodao took advantage of the enterprise to install well water purification equipment for the village free of charge and also to maintain it free of charge.
The third thing, drainage. Residents in the village never consider drainage when building houses, and rainwater and sewage are accumulated in rainy days. Xiao Dao raised funds from various sources and invested more than 300,000 yuan to build a drainage ditch in front of and behind the cottage. When it rains in the village, it floods and becomes history.
Xiao Dao not only misses the countryside, but also misses the people in the countryside. When I was in Jibei Middle School, Xiao Dao, a poor family, liked to wear school uniforms best, so that she could dress like her classmates. Xiao Dao, who knows that it is not easy for poor students to study, lends a helping hand to poor students in his hometown. Since 2014, he has set up 200,000 yuan scholarships in four schools, including Jibei Middle School and Jiyang No.1 Middle School.
Warm heart, Xiao Dao has done a lot: doing his best to arrange work for fellow villagers; Take out more than 10 thousand yuan to implant cochlear implants for a deaf-mute child in Jiyang; Initiated fundraising for a 3-year-old girl with leukemia, raising more than 60,000 yuan; Every Spring Festival, bring gifts to express condolences to the old cadres and needy people in the village … …
Click on Xiao Dao’s WeChat avatar: He is smiling and holding a drawing board with the word "Thanksgiving" in his hand. "Work hard with gratitude and hope that the enterprise will further develop and help the hometown to revitalize better and faster!" Xiao Dao said.
